tapt (operated by Tapt88) provides digital business card profiles: a hosted web page with your contact details, links, content and lead-capture tools, shareable via link, QR code or NFC. These terms apply when you purchase, use or access a tapt profile.
Pro profiles are charged a once-off professional build fee, plus a monthly subscription that starts once your card has been delivered. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for new sign-ups; your active subscription price will not increase without at least 30 days' notice. Early-joiner benefits (such as included add-ons) remain yours while your subscription stays active, and lapse if it is cancelled.
You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time via your billing page — your card stays live until the end of the paid period, after which it reverts to the free tier. The build fee covers work performed and is not refundable once your build brief has been actioned. If we have not started your build, contact us for a full refund.
You own the content on your profile (photos, logos, documents, text) and are responsible for it: you confirm you have the right to publish it and that it is lawful, accurate and not misleading. For regulated professionals, you remain responsible for compliance with your industry's advertising and disclosure rules (e.g. FAIS). We may remove content that is unlawful or that harms the service or other users.
Details submitted by visitors through your card's forms belong to you as the card owner. You are the responsible party for that personal information under POPIA and must handle it lawfully — use it for the purpose the visitor provided it and honour deletion requests. We process it on your behalf solely to deliver the service.
We aim for your card to be available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, and we rely on third-party infrastructure providers. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses; our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding three months.
Profiles are for legitimate professional and business use. Spam, impersonation, unlawful content or abuse of the platform may result in suspension. We'll always contact you first unless the issue is severe.
We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated by email to the address on your account at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
